Why give a gift in your Will

Your Will gives you the power to choose how your assets can benefit your loved ones and / or the causes that you believe in and wish to support. Preparing your Will needn’t be complex, nor expensive, but we recommend you seek the advice of a legal advisor to ensure your Will is valid, and clearly set out the way you intend your estate to be distributed.

Including a gift in your Will for Coolum Meals On Wheels is an empowering way of supporting the good work we do into the future. Thanks to generous gifts from our sponsors, we have been able to make a difference in the lives of our clients and volunteers.

This work has included:

  • Keeping our meal charges down

  • Kitchen refurbishments

  • Investing in new services to support our mission

Directing your gift

If you would like to make a gift we suggest you do not limit your description because we may not be able to fulfil your request if it is too specific.

In order for Coolum Meals on Wheels to have the flexibility to apply your gift our preference is for your gift to be directed towards “general purposes of Coolum Beach Meals on Wheels (Inc)”

Suggested legal wording for your will

Wills can be complex and there are many ways of including a gift in your Will. We cannot provide you with specific legal advice, so please ensure you obtain your own independent legal advice on the most appropriate wording.

However, here is an example of wording you may consider with your legal advisor when you are preparing or updating your Will.
